St. Petersburg, FL · Completed 2025
The original broom-finish concrete deck had cracked in several places and was uncomfortably hot barefoot by mid-morning. Salt air had also stained it in patches nothing would lift.
We removed and hauled the slab, rebuilt the base for Florida's sandy subgrade with separation fabric and solid edge restraint, and set French-pattern ivory travertine with a bullnose coping detail at the pool edge.
Pitch was reworked away from the lanai with a channel drain at the low side to handle rainy-season volume, and the whole field was sealed with a UV-stable, non-yellowing product.
